BitTwelve is a map, not a vault. Do not paste wallet recovery phrases, private keys, passwords, safe combinations, authentication codes, identity documents, legal originals, or anything whose disclosure alone could give someone control of an asset or account.
How should your 12 words be created?
In the operational product, the twelve words are generated only after protection. Generation is disabled in this preview.Protect this map. The recommended option uses your browser's cryptographically secure random generator.
Use exactly 12 words from the BIP39 English word list, generated with independent unbiased randomness. Do not choose memorable words yourself. BitTwelve can reject a valid BIP39 mnemonic, but it cannot detect every recovery phrase used by every wallet system or verify that your randomness is strong.

BitTwelve encrypts the roadmap on this device. Hosted storage receives the encrypted package, not the readable roadmap or your twelve-word code.
Membership email and payment stay separate from the twelve-word recovery code and encrypted map contents.

These twelve words are the durable handoff for this BitTwelve. Future hosted-map updates use the same twelve words, so a printed card or steel backup does not need to be replaced just because the roadmap changes. BitTwelve cannot recover these words for you.

Keep these twelve words private. They are not a cryptocurrency wallet seed and do not replace your underlying recovery materials.
Keep the words for the life of this BitTwelve. If you later update the roadmap, the same twelve words continue to open the current hosted version. Replace the offline recovery file after an update because an offline snapshot cannot update itself. Hosted storage is still only a convenience and may change, fail, or disappear.
